Transect definition
Click two points on the map to define the transect line.
Runs auto_transect separately for each selected campaign, then combines those lines into a single one (mean or median of their directions and origin points).
Reuse the transect definition already saved for the selected profile (from whichever campaign it was defined on) and apply it to the campaign currently selected above.

coastprof

coastprof is a Shiny interface for the coastprof R package: a toolbox for coastal morphology analysis — beach profile extraction, reference transect definition, cross-shore distance/elevation series, and volume comparisons across surveys.

Workflow

  1. Import data — upload an index.csv (one row per profile per campaign: campaign, name, from, to) and one raw survey file per campaign (Name, Easting, Northing, Elevation, typically a GNSS export).
  2. Profile map — visualize every profile, colored by identifier, across all loaded campaigns.
  3. Transect definition — define a reference transect per profile, either automatically (auto_transect) or manually (click two points on the map), reuse a saved definition across campaigns, and export the projected data (project + sf_to_pr).
  4. Transect visualization — plot the cross-shore profile (distance/elevation) for every campaign sharing a profile’s reference transect.
